GO FOR THE FLOW! That’s the claim of the Funcross and it stands for fun and action away from regular slopes. During the Funcross race you can experience the feeling of perfect flow on banked turns, little jumps and snow waves. On March 19, the second Funcross Race of the season takes place – and as always, it’s all about fun!

You enjoy riding the Funcross and you’re looking for action during your skiing holidays? Then you should definitely be present at the special race at Funcross Obergurgl on March 19. It’s already the second Funcross Race at the Diamond of the Alps this winter. The first race was supposed to go down on February 27, but couldn’t take place as planned due to difficult conditions. This is why, the second race brings by double the fun and double the action!

Free participation and countless runs

For the race there is no registration in advance required! Simply, come to the entrance gate of the Funcross Obergurgl and sign up on-site. Once you’re registered, you can take as many runs as you want to between 10am and 1:30pm. You don’t need to be an experienced racer and there’s no entry fee. On top, every starter receives a drink voucher at the Zirbenalm. This is the same location where the prize-giving ceremony occurs at 2pm. The winners in skiing and snowboarding of the categories Women, Men, Under 14 male/female can look forward to €600 and various goodies!

It’s all about fun!

The Funcross Race is not about racing down the course recklessly and with too much ambition. Our hint for success is as always: get to know the snow conditions and the course on your first lap and once you feel safe, go for your fastest run. And if you don’t make it up to the podium at the end of the day, then our media team always guarantees a good time. Because the photos and videos with all the unforgettable memories of a great ski day are available for the participants after the event.

This season was way too short. But even though the closing of all skiing areas may break our hearts, these actions have been necessary to battle the corona crisis. It’s time to bring authentic racing experiences to Gurgl again! On Thursday, February 27, the Funcross Race takes place at the Diamond of the Alps. There, experienced sportsmen and -women as well as motivated youngsters can rush through the flowy track and compete against like-minded racers.

Attention to all carvers, we got a big announcement to make: There´s a speed control at the Anna-Park FunCross. So, let´s ski even faster! On February 8, going faster will be highly rewarded in Annaberg.

This bison does not live in in the prairie, its home is the Funcross. The BISON X by PRINOTH works perfectly in special areas like the Funcross Turracher Höhe. Thanks to the work of our experienced snowcat operator Hilton Scott and his BISON X, the highest quality and safety measures are guaranteed at the Fun Mountain. We paid him a visit.
