“To finally see the result after all the days of pushing and planning, to ride it, test it and see other people enjoy it, is immensely satisfying”, says Hilton Scott. Hilton has been a snowcat operator at the Shape Academy for 10 years now and spent his last four seasons at Turracher Höhe. There, he built and maintained the Fun Mountain. And the Funcross is an important part of it.
Here we would like to show you a Vimeo video.
The flow feeling can be achieved in many ways. The Funcross Turracher Höhe has all of them. Carving experts enjoy smooth banked turns, sportsmen and -women with a passion for speed can rush over snow waves and everyone surely gets a kick when passing through one of the tunnels. None of these features could have been built without the BISON X. “The things that I enjoyed most while building this project were the challenges of piecing together each little part”, says Hilton. “It was few very different areas to build and different situations, different snow.”
It is one of the highlights of the Funcross Turracher Höhe. But there’s a whole lot of work behind these beauties. “The first step in building this modular tunnel was to cut a nice flat level platform upon which they can build it”, Hilton explains. “And using the BISON X, it’s got all the gages to find a good level and also to measure the length of the platform. So that was perfect.” Once the tunnel is fixed together, snow is being pushed and pressed to the its sides. “And once it’s frozen, we have the stability to drive over the top of the tunnel and push the remaining snow required to cover the tunnel.”
The Funcross Turracher Höhe is ready for you – tunnel inclusive! And that’s the achievement of the Shape Academy and the BISON X. Let’s reward them with some flowy runs through the Funcross Turracher Höhe.
