We go back to March 8, 2019. Blessed with perfect weather and wonderful conditions, no less than 78 hobby racers took part at the Funcross Race in Obergugl. Today we can say without any doubt that the event was a total success! For the ski resort Gurgl, that was reason enough to host two races this winter. But that´s not all! This season, the snowiest ski resort of the alps picked up the racing fever. Another Funcross Race will go down at the new Funcross Karhorn in Warth-Schröcken! The race at the Arlberg will be the first Funcross Race, that is hosted outside of Gurgl. This winter, we will have three Funcross Races:

What´s so different about it? Unlike other races, the Funcross Race requires no registration in advance. It’s even possible to register after the race has begun and others have rushed through the Funcross several times. That´s another unique characteristic of the Funcross Race. There’s no need to enter the race and risk everything at one run, you can carve through the Funcross as often as you want to. At the end of the day, your best time counts. Our tip for your success: Clever racers get used to the course in the first couple of runs and only really get going when they know what to expect on the action-packed track.

At the Funcross Race, skiers and snowboarders are very welcome to join! These two categories are again parted in the categories men, women and male as well as female youngsters. The best ranks get cool prizes of course, but at the prize giving everybody will get something – because at the Funcross Race all racers are winners!
